This dental office is very relaxing. Dr Hoepfner is thorough and takes his time to explain. The hygienist was gentle and also explained everything throughout the appointment. Staff is great!

I had my tooth removed yesterday and the major tooth #19 was strong rooted. Dr. Nicholas Hoepfner did very good job pulling the tooth. I felt lots of pressure but no pain and that I consider very good. I received less toxic anesthesia which I specifically asked for. As much as it is not a pleasure to pull the tooth the experience was positive and everyone was very accommodating and pleasant. I had to take one dose of Motrin right after and 4 hours later Tylenol. Then I was able to sleep. The wound is healing well and I don’t have to take any more pain medications. Thank you dr. Hoepfner and the team!

A very pleasing and personable experience. From the staff to the location n service I would rate it a 10. I've been looking for a place to regular, and this is certainly it. My boyfriend (long time patient) recommended I check it out. So happy I finally set an appointment. Lgbtq friendly environment! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ a bonus for us!

Dr. Hoepfner and team were kind and accessible during a dental emergency while I was in from out of town. They were compassionate, treated me with respect and went over all of the treatment choices in detail. I appreciate their thorough and quick resolution of my issue.

Your first appointment with Benjamin Turnwald Dentistry is based on your needs. A comprehensive exam involves evaluating the health of your gums, teeth, and bone to ensure your oral and overall health are in tip-top shape. A comprehensive exam could include:
- Digital x-rays
- Dental decay assessment
- Oral cancer screening
- Periodontal and tooth charting
- TMJ assessment
Dental cleanings involve one-on-one time with one of our amazing dental hygienists (AKA hy-geniuses!) Leah or Sarah. She will gently (but thoroughly!) remove tartar and plaque from your teeth to ensure your teeth and gums are clean and healthy.
Are you noticing the early signs of gum disease? Those signs include:
- Red and bleeding gums
- Gum recession
- Persistent bad breath
- Tender gums
These could be signs you are in need of scaling and root planing, which is a deep cleaning conducted by one of our hygienists. This non-surgical procedure involves our hygienist removing calculus and plaque from tooth surfaces below the gumline and along the tooth root.
If not treated, you could put your smile at risk of advanced gum disease, which results in tooth loss. Don’t worry! Our hygienists are known for their gentle touch and professional hand-holding abilities. We’ll do whatever possible to ensure you’re comfortable from start to finish.
Did you know 30,000 people are diagnosed with oral cancer each year, according to the American Cancer Society? Luckily, it’s possible to treat oral cancer when you catch the early signs. At Benjamin Turnwald Dentistry, we offer annual oral cancer exams to check for any abnormalities. If your dentist notices any signs of oral cancer, we’ll talk to you about the next steps to stop this disease from progressing.
Sealants consist of a thin, tooth-colored coating that is painted onto your teeth (especially on the back molars). This creates a protective layer over the tooth surfaces to prevent tooth decay and future dental problems.
