The short answer on partial dentures.
A partial denture is a removable appliance that replaces some missing teeth and clips onto the remaining ones for support. It takes about four visits over several weeks, and it's used when you're missing multiple teeth but still have healthy ones worth keeping.
Partials come in a few materials. Metal-framed versions are thinner, stronger and usually more comfortable long term. Flexible and acrylic versions cost less and can be a good interim step while you plan implants.
We design the clasps so they show as little as possible, and we make sure they don't put damaging force on your remaining teeth, because that's how partials cause problems.

How much does partial dentures cost in Schaumburg?
We don't publish a price, because quoting a number before we've looked at your mouth would be a guess. Here's what actually moves the figure, and how to get a real one.
- Metal-framed partials cost more than acrylic ones and generally last longer
- Cost depends on how many teeth are being replaced and which arch
- Most PPO plans cover around 50%, typically once every five years
- We'll compare the cost against a bridge or implants in writing so you can decide with real numbers
We file claims with most major PPO plans. If you're uninsured, our membership plan is $499 or $699 a year and includes exams, X-rays and cleanings plus a discount on treatment. See what the membership plan covers.

Partial Dentures questions, answered.
We design them to sit as far back and as low as possible, and on front teeth we can often use tooth-colored or flexible clasps instead of metal. Some visibility is possible depending on where your gaps are. We'll show you the plan before it's made.
Usually five to eight years. What tends to end it isn't the partial breaking but changes in your mouth: another tooth lost, a clasp tooth needing a crown, or ridge shrinkage loosening the fit. Many partials can be modified to add a tooth rather than remade.
After an adjustment period of a couple of weeks, most food is fine. Very sticky things like toffee and chewing gum are worth avoiding because they pull at the clasps. Cut hard food smaller and chew on both sides to keep the partial seated.
Yes. Remove it overnight so your gums and clasp teeth get a rest, and clean it with a denture brush and mild soap rather than toothpaste, which is abrasive. Store it in water so the acrylic doesn't dry out and warp.
Implants feel and function far more like natural teeth, and nothing has to be removed daily. Partials cost much less, need no surgery, and can be made in weeks. Many patients use a partial now and move to implants later. We'll price both honestly.
